As Juan Manuel Marquez prepares himself for a third showdown against Manny Pacquiao on November 12, he has enlisted the assistance of doctors to move up to the contracted weight of 144 pounds, revealed key components of his battle plan, and today he reveals another special tool for his training.
Today Marquez informed us that he has already started using ballet to strengthen his legs in preparation for Pacquiao.
Marquez does not expect an easy fight no matter what his training tactics might include.
"It will not be easy to beat Pacquiao," said Marquez. "But I will have a solution and I will command the fight."
As for a planned tune-up fight with David Diaz in July that has fallen apart due to the American-born fighter's financial demands, Marquez feels it can still be salvaged.
"When Diaz knew we were interested in him because of his style and his punch, and that he was ideal, his team pushed up his price," said Marquez. "I think we will come to an agreement."
