Miguel Cotto has been sparring with junior welterweight Francisco “El Gato” Figueroa in preparation for his highly anticipated fight with pound-for-pound best Manny Pacquiao. “I do try to emulate Pacquiao the best I can, but at the same time I am doing my Gato moves…it’s going great. I’m just here training and getting Cotto ready for Pacquiao’s movements and you know, it’s going good,” said Figueroa according to a recent article by FightHype. “Cotto knows he hired me for a reason, because I sparred with him last time. He knows I don’t play and that’s why he needs. He wants non-playing movement and I am there for him,” Figueroa added.
Frankie Figueroa (20-3, 13 KOs) is scheduled to fight Rashad Holloway on November 4. He lost to Randall Bailey last March.
